the powder coating process we use an automated line so that the whole process could run fast and effectively, and its effect was a high quality product and customer satisfaction. We perform powder coating of even smallest details made of carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and brass, as well as aluminum and zinc-coated products. Thanks to the automated process we have increased our capacity. Today we successfully perform the service of powder coating for numerous customers from Krakow, Katowice, Bielsko Biała, Skoczów or Cieszyn
The preparation of the surface for powder coating is an important stage in the whole powder coating process. This is owing to good preparation that coating runs effectively, the adhesion of the coat to the substrate increases, and in effect the paint maintains for years. We recommend iron phosphating which proves perfectly effective in the majority of cases.
Our line has five spraying zones:
The repeatability of the process described above and the use of the spraying system gives us certainty that the effect of the operation will be a carefully prepared and flushed detail.
All surfaces must be carefully dried in the convection drying oven.
The temperature of 120 degrees Celsius and appropriately selected drying time is the guarantee that the detail after taking it out from the oven is properly prepared for final coating.
It should be emphasized that the automation of the line enables to minimize the contact of the detail with other surfaces, which prevents the settlement of undesired substances or contaminants on the surface.
.
In the next stage the conveyor feeds the detail in the automatic powder coating booth.
In Alugrip we have a modern booth which is equipped with two electronically controlled manipulators with guns installed on them, which enables fast and careful powder coating.
What does the powder coating process look like? The powder goes through the spraying system and thanks to friction it charges positively - in accordance with the difference of potentials it adheres to the surface being coated. The spraying zone has the powder recovery system and ergonomic end filters - it is very important in the case of coating from paints entrusted because it gives the possibility of economical use of powder paint.
The last stage of powder coating is the curing of the sprayed paint. It takes place in the oven intended for that, in the temperature of about 180 degrees Celsius. The powder applied previously melts and then it is undergoes polymerization, as a result of which is becomes the proper coating.
After taking it out from the oven and cooling the detail is ready to be packed.
The full cycle of the four stages described above - from hanging the detail on the conveyor to taking it out - takes about 2 hours.
